She is passionate about reducing nutrition related diseases, especially in expecting mothers, children, and low-income communities. She is working with GFRP doctoral student Jonathan Lara-Ar\u00e9valo to research the relationship between food insecurity and obesity in low- and middle-income countries. In the future, Alyssa hopes to pursue a Master of Public Health in Nutrition, become a registered dietitian, and engage in research to improve nutrition education and nutrition policy across the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>My \u201cgo-to\u201d<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>comfort food is&#8230;<\/em><\/strong> pineapple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>My least liked food is&#8230;<\/em><\/strong> cheese.
