Originally from Guatemala City, Guatemala, Paola is passionate about nutrition education and improving conditions for underserved communities. Her background includes leadership, clinical volunteer work, and small business experience, which have shaped her interest in bridging nutrition science with community impact. At Baylor, she is the philanthropy chair of the Student Dietetic Nutrition Association.
