Packaged food and beverage products containing added sugars, sodium, or saturated fat and exceeding <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalfoodresearchprogram.org\/chilean-law-of-food-labeling-and-advertising-nutrient-thresholds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">set thresholds<\/a> for content of total sugar, sodium, saturated fat, or overall calories are considered\u00a0\u201chigh in\u201d products\u00a0subject to all regulations. The law was implemented in three phases (in June of 2016, 2018, and 2019) with increasingly strict nutrient thresholds.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Front-of-package warning labels: <\/strong>\u201cHigh in\u201d products must carry black octagon \u201cstop sign\u201d octagonal warning labels for each nutrient in excess of thresholds (calories, sugar, saturated fat, and\/or sodium).
