Fernanda completed her bachelor\u2019s degree in nutrition science at North Carolina State University. After working as an EFNEP Educator in Orange County, she joined the Global Food Research Project as a research assistant. She is a firm believer that many health problems can be prevented through food and physical activity, so her interests include nutrition education, research related to chronic diseases and public health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I\u2019m in a time crunch, I love to make<\/em>…<\/strong> chick peas salad with grape tomatoes, olive oil and salt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foods I must have in my home are<\/em>…<\/strong> eggs and avocado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
